MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather will prevail across most of the country today, but rains are expected over parts of Luzon due to the combined effects of Tropical Storm Verbena, shear line, and northeast monsoon (amihan), the state weather bureau said. In its morning forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the amihan will primarily affect extreme Northern Luzon, while the shear line and Verbena will bring rain to the eastern sections of Northern Luzon and the Kalayaan Islands, respectively.
